PROGRAMS THAT WILL MAKE YOU CHANGE YOUR WORLD

living-Change

We partner with Universities to offer the Living-Change program specifically to University students, in a way that students can earn college credits through participation. The Living-Change curriculum is flexible to be adjusted to meet specific academic requirements.

For example, in 2015 we partnered with Dr. David Hall at Portland State University to offer a variation of the Living-Change program to PSU students through the Systems Science Program. PSU students each earned 6 credits for participating and completing a follow-up assignment.

If you are a University Professor and would like to lead a group/bring your students in 2016 or future years, please write to kawaymonti@gmail.com to tell us more about your interest.

The Living-Change program is a leadership program aiming to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders looking to create positive change. Using the Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) curriculum as the base of content coverage, students learn tools to assume leadership in their own lives and communities.

The essence of Living-Change involves four main focuses: Permaculture, Leadership, Community, and Local Culture. Throughout the course, there are three projects that students work towards as part of their learning experience : 1) A Permaculture Design of the land to gain their PDC certification, 2) A service project to give back to/with the local community, 3) A project for back home, for students to take forward their learning and inspiration to enrich their local community.

When? We set the date. August 2016?

Who can apply? The Living-Change program is open to people from any country and background.

Community living involves a lot of hard work! The tasks are not always pleasant, but they need to be done, and they need to be shared equally between the community members to be completed in a fair, light-hearted, and fun manner. And it's necessary to celebrate when the tasks are done!

We have created a game to tick all these boxes; to keep communities running smoothly and to keep all the chores completed and up-to-date: The Community Wheel.

If you are interested in learning more about this process, please write to us at kawaymonti@gmail.com.

Watch this space for more information and photos of the making of The Community Wheel, and to see the game being played.
