Northwest Gardens Roll and Bowl
Here is a send-out from one of our past students. Since completing the Living-Change program in 2015, she has launched an incredible project on the West coast of the US, check it out at www.facebook.com/rollandbowl. Onto the message...
Hi All,
So happy to be on the circle of change makers. Thanks for your inspiration and all that you continually do. I have some very exciting news to share with you. I have been working hard on a new business project with my good friend and business partner Bryan TIller. Together we are creating a mobile food business targeting the local farmer's markets on the North Oregon Coast. The name we have chosen to operate under is the Northwest Gardens Roll and Bowl. We will be serving Pacific Northwest inspired Sushi and Ramen. We will be growing a majority of our own produce and supplementing the rest from other local farms at the markets. I am happy to announce that Northwest Gardens Roll and Bowl is teaming up with KivaZip and Nehalem Valley Farm Trust in order to get our business up and runnning. These organizations allow us to pursue a non-conventional, 0% interest loan, and lender is you, my community.
Kiva is the first and largest micro-lending service in the world that has distributed $709 million over 10 years, in 85 different countries, among 1.5 million small businesses. I am currently in a private fundraising period, during which I have 15 days to get 25 lenders in order to make it on the public platform where anyone on Kiva Zip can lend to me. The funds from this loan will go towards the startup and launching of our business. I would like to ask you to lend as little as $25 (which you will get back!) so that I can progress to the public fundraising period. If you would like to support me, please follow this link to my profile page: https://zip.kiva.org/loans/17998/i/31u2 (This is the only way your loan will be tracked as coming through me). I also ask for you to forward this email on to those I have not reached. Thanks for your support, I am honestly so grateful to have each and everyone of you in my life!
